The Vacheron Constantin ref. 47101 draws inspiration from the iconic 1940s ref. 4178, renowned for its refined chronograph design. Featuring a clean, highly legible dial with a balanced tachymeter scale, it embodies timeless elegance. The 36mm yellow gold case, with angular lugs and a chamfered bezel, exudes classic appeal. A snap-on display case back showcases the Maltese cross and manufacturer’s hallmarks. Inside, the 21-jewel, manual-winding Calibre 1140—based on the reworked ‘Nouvelle Lemania’ 2320—offers impeccable finishing, including Geneva striping and chamfered edges. Equipped with a straight-line lever escapement, a swan-neck micrometer regulator, and a Breguet spring, this watch is a true example of precision and craftsmanship.
