Bernhard Lederer

After a decade of relentless innovation, Bernhard Lederer has achieved what centuries of watchmakers only imagined: a revolutionary leap in precision, reliability, and efficiency. The Central Impulse Chronometer, a masterpiece born from over three centuries of horological pursuit. Winner of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2021 Innovation Prize.

An Evolution in Horology

The Central Impulse Chronometer is the first watch in Lederer’s Masters of Escapements series paying tribute to the pioneers of horological design, A.L Breguets Natural Escapement (1789), and George Daniels Independent Double-Wheel Escapement (1976), continuing Lederer’s long fascination with perfecting the ‘beating heart’ of a timepiece. Discover an evolution in horology.

An iconic design

The Central Impulse Chronometer is as breathtaking architectually as it is mechanically, with a design that visually explain the horological concept. The unusual presence of the two counterwise running seconds hands on the dial side, is logically understood on the movement side with the two symmetrically gear trains each with their remontoirs. With perfect and unvarying synchronicity – the dial draw the attention to the movement and its artistically seductive symphony of beautiful masterly finished parts.
