Piaget Altiplano Ultra-Thin Wood Dial
Originally introduced in the 1960s, the Piaget Altiplano can only be labeled as a design of its time. This reference 12406 from 1970s takes its design a step further, fully set with a wooden dial with three dimensional hour markers, which are housed in a solid 18ct yellow gold case and equipped with the ultra-thin micro-rotor based calibre 12P. An important movement for later micro-rotor based watches. The case design undoubtedly represents the funkiness of Tonneau-designed wristwatches from the Golden Age.
